Description

Starbucks egg bites with ricotta bring silky protein-packed goodness straight from cafe kitchens to home cooking. Creamy, protein-rich nibbles deliver restaurant-quality breakfast magic you can easily craft in your own kitchen.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients:

  • 8 large eggs
  • 0.5 cup (120 ml) ricotta cheese
  • 0.25 cup (60 ml) shredded mozzarella cheese

Vegetables and Optional Add-ins:

  • 0.25 cup (60 ml) cooked and chopped spinach
  • 0.25 cup (60 ml) diced bell peppers

Seasonings:

  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon garlic powder

Garnish:

  • Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F and prepare a muffin tin with cooking spray or silicone cups to ensure easy egg bite removal.
  2. Crack eggs into a large mixing bowl and whisk until fully combined and slightly frothy, creating a smooth base for the egg bites.
  3. Incorporate ricotta, mozzarella, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder into the egg mixture, whisking thoroughly to eliminate any lumps and create a consistent texture.
  4. Gently fold in cooked spinach and diced bell peppers, distributing them evenly throughout the egg mixture to add nutritional value and flavor.
  5. Carefully pour the egg mixture into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup approximately ¾ full to allow room for rising during baking.
  6. Create a water bath by placing the muffin tin inside a larger baking dish, filling it with warm water halfway up the sides of the muffin tin to promote even cooking.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes in the preheated oven, monitoring until the egg bites are set and have a light golden color on top.
  8. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes, then carefully loosen the edges with a knife and extract the egg bites from the tin.
  9. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve immediately, enjoying the homemade version of Starbucks-inspired egg bites.
